For most Australians, the quickest access to Kununurra is the East Kimberley Regional Airport (locally known as Kununurra Airport). This is why it’s important to keep the airport’s infrastructure regularly improved and conditioned. At COLAS, we’re glad to be paving the taxiways of the airport, improving its capability to meet the needs of transport and travel in the region.
In such a remote location, our paving teams completed an impressive feat of transporting all asphalt and equipment nearly 4000 kilometers over 5 days from our Yarrabee Port Macquarie Depot to complete these works.
